Google… With friends like you, who needs enemies?

I used to play around with Black Hat SEO in the past when there were so many search engines in the game.  But as the search engine club waned I saw that Google was not only happy to give me traffic but also that they would provide me accurate data on my analytics tools.  This was great!  I stuck with Google and I went to the light side.

Right now I agree with Ian Lurie’s “Dear Google: This is war”.  This doesn’t HELP anyone except you.  Everything was symbiotic but you just wanted more like a petulant child.  And now, when people ask me what search engine I recommend, I’m going to cringe and suggest Bing or something else.  Because your results might be better but you screw the people who make you what you are.  Might even be time to give those robots.txt files a tweak.
